Welcome Team Captains!
Thank you so much for registering a team for BiG Cardio 2024. We’re so excited you’ve joined the movement to help us make an impact in the lives of at-risk youth in South Florida. Your participation in the event and your advocacy in recruiting members to your team will go a long way to making this the best BiG Cardio ever, and translate to helping hundreds of youth!
Being a BiG Cardio Team Captain is really fun, especially for you competitive folk who like to go head to head in recruiting team members and have the BiGgest team! We’re here to help you be the most successful team captain you can be, so we’ve packed this folder with recruitment tools (posters, event cards, team recruitment cards) to help you grow your team, and this tip sheet for using them. Feel free to make copies of any of the enclosures!
TEAM BUILDING TIPS
POSTERS: Write your team name, your name, and contact number on the posters and post everywhere people congregate, such as:
Office reception area
Break room or coffee bar
Lunch room fridge door
Church bulletin board
EVENT CARDS: Make copies and place a stack wherever you can:
Your child’s school or sports team
Your favorite social gathering place
Your spouse’s office
Church or ministry table
TEAM RECRUITMENT CARDS (TR Cards)
An effective, and necessary tool—they are your team’s business cards!
Hand them out to everyone you come in contact with—yes, everyone—that’s how you grow your team. Write your team name on the back of the card, or better yet, make labels to avoid writer’s cramp, and they’ll have all the info they need to register for your team. Before you know it, you might have the BiGgest team!

Promote your team in your email signature, company website, E-newsletter
MULTIPLY YOUR EFFORTS
Each time someone joins your team, give them a handful of recruitment cards, posters and event cards so they can recruit team members too! There is no limit to the size of your team. FYI, the biggest team to date is 130+ people!

Color Team T-Shirts: Recruit 20 or more and your team will get the shirt color you chose at registration.
Personalized Team T-shirts: Recruit 50 or more and your team will not only stand out from the crowd in the same color shirt, but you’ll also get your team name printed on the back.
